If you enjoy comics, or good writing or art in general, read this comic. Me trying to describe it would be a disservice to it's magnitude... Which sounds really melodramatic, but is probably the honest truth.

He does it pretty well, without giving anything away. And I have to second what someone said in the comments, even though I had the story pinned down pretty quick, it was an emotional train ride regardless. Pick up a copy if you get a chance, it's in trade paperback now, you'll be glad you did. Probably amongst the best comics with substance I've ever read, though not on the somber level of Watchmen or Vendetta

As for my friends in RI, I'm carrying a copy now, if you want, or even if you don't, I'll give it to you. You Ingrateful Basterds need to read this!

Dude, I totally agree.
I don't see why people would do such a thing to those creatures of the night! Why would they ruin them?!

It's sad how vampires and werewolves and demons / devils, so on have been romanticized in modern media, like at the worst they are trixy and devious, at the best loving, cute, cuddly even.

Vampires were a scourge, devils taking the form of a human to feed on unsuspecting prey. They were the greatest evil in Medieval society, and same with the werewolves (though they did get to play the "misunderstand" card occasionally.)

Mythology is so warped today. No one understands the points of the old horrors and old stories. Like what the fuck Disney did to Hercules. They made him a hero, albeit a young and naive one.

Hercules was a drunkard, a bastard son who couldn't do anything right no matter hard he tried. Greece hated him.

But there you go.

I know! The vampires were so cool in the comic, but I really liked the ones in the movie. They had such a neat little language. :)

Yes, I totally agree! "Twilight" ruined the image of the vampire, and so did Anne Rice. The creators of "30 Days of Night" kept them how they were suposed to be--scary, unfeeling, killing-machines.

That's what I keep saying.

...And though I love the comic, I personally like the movie vampires better. A lot loss dramatic and moody, a lot more brutal.

That is definitely how vampires should be, not this Twilight and Anne Rice crap.

why thankee.
I dunno, I was going to add more but all I can find in my goggle docs are essays.
There's a slightly transcendentalist-sounding one, but it's just the typical rant about money and shit. and the only thing I've been able to come up with lately is thus:
"Hop head, hop head, hop along, cannabis friend."

The second one I liked quite a bit, just not the last two verses. I think it would make a great Gojira song.
